Mission
It is our objective to develop long-term relationships with our clients by providing reasonably priced, personalized wealth management. As an Independent, Fee-Only Registered Investment Advisor, we derive no income from the sale of investment products. The only revenue we receive comes directly from our clients. We take pride in our independence and have no conflicts of interest.

Leadership
Adam Sommers has been investing on behalf of clients since 1996. As the founder of Sommers Financial, Adam’s goal was — and remains today — to manage investments responsibly and with integrity, for the benefit of each client.

Education
Adam graduated magna cum laude from Lewis & Clark College in Portland, Oregon, with a bachelor’s degree in business and a focus on financial analysis and personal finance. Adam maintains that the most valuable learning tools — besides experience earned each year in this business — are the books on his shelves. He is an avid student of investment leaders including Warren Buffett, John Neff, Philip Fisher, and Benjamin Graham.

Community
Adam was born and raised in South Columbia County, and his current community activities include Chamber of Commerce Ambassador and Trustee for the St. Helens Student Foundation. He is also a passionate booster and coach of St. Helens athletics. Adam’s wife Teresa teaches third grade in the St. Helens School District.  They recently (October 2008) added daughter Alexa Raeann to their household.  Together, they enjoy canoeing Oregon waters, hiking the Oregon hillsides, and taking care of their yellow Labrador retriever Ellis, their cats Ally and Dimitri, and their home in Warren, Oregon.
